Publication Fees
This journal charges authors publication fees for the following services.
The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is 700 USD per article accepted for publication.
A reduced Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 420 applies to manuscripts in which all authors are affiliated exclusively with institutions located in countries classified by the World Bank as low-income economies, in accordance with the journal’s APC policy.
Eligibility for the reduced APC is determined after the manuscript has been accepted for publication, based on the institutional affiliations of all authors.
The reduced APC is applied based on predefined criteria and is independent of the peer review process and individual requests.
Publication fee for Ukrainian authors: 8,000.00 UAH.
This policy has been introduced to ensure the long-term sustainability of editorial services, compliance with publication ethics standards, and the continued development of the journal within the international academic community.
The APC covers costs associated with editorial handling of manuscripts, copyediting, typesetting, publication of the current issue, registration of digital object identifiers (annual and per-item Crossref fees), web hosting and archiving, support of the open access policy, annual subscription fees for specialized software, as well as overhead costs related to the operation of the journal’s editorial office.
If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) are required to pay the APC to compensate for publication-related expenses. The publication fee is non-refundable.
APC Waivers
The Editorial Board may grant a full waiver of the APC in exceptional cases where authors can demonstrate a lack of financial resources.
Waiver requests are considered only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Decisions are made with regard to the financial capacity of the entire authorship team, not solely the corresponding author.
Single-author submissions from doctoral candidates or early-career researchers without grant or institutional funding may be considered eligible. As a general rule, waivers are not granted for multi-author papers.
Authors must provide a brief justification of the lack of funding.
All decisions regarding APC waivers are made at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
